• Lead an engineering team, taking ownership of delivery and team development.
• Foster continuous improvement through rapid, iterative processes.

• Ensure adherence to engineering standards through pull-request evaluations and effective release processes.
• Lead AI-enhanced engineering practices while upholding quality benchmarks.
• Take responsibility for team commitments, planning, prioritization, and delivery rhythm.
• Collaborate with the Technical Product Owner and Product team on project scope, sequencing, trade-offs, and roadmap planning.
• Align engineering efforts with overarching business goals.
• Adapt plans, priorities, and staffing in response to changing business needs.
• Manage team hiring, interviewing, recruiting, and coaching processes.
• Mentor fellow engineering managers and strengthen the management talent pool.
• Communicate context and escalations to leadership effectively.
• Empower senior engineers to take ownership of product areas.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, GTM, Customer Success, and other teams to ensure cross-team alignment.
• Over 10 years of engineering experience, including more than 4 years in engineering management roles where coding was an integral part of your duties.
• Practical experience in building cloud-based SaaS products and managing services in production on Azure; ideally, experience with AWS/GCP as well.
• Experience in overseeing availability, costs, and customer-facing interfaces.
• Strong background in understanding and leading teams in the FinOps domain.
• API-first approach; products accessible through APIs for both humans and agents.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, including full-stack and data engineers.
• Proven track record of transforming engineering teams visibly, with measurable enhancements in delivery speed, technical quality, or team capability.
• Deep technical proficiency in the team's primary technology stack; ability to read, write, and review code at a senior level.
• Strong principles regarding hiring, coaching, performance management, and technical decision-making.
• Excellent judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Direct and candid communication abilities.
• Strong knowledge or experience with Golang (bonus).
• Established AI-augmented workflows and insights on AI tools and agentic workflows (bonus).
• Hands-on experience with multiple cloud providers (bonus).
• Background in scaling teams, processes, or technical systems (bonus).
