• Lead an engineering team, taking responsibility for delivery and team growth.
• Foster continuous improvement through rapid iterations.

• Cultivate future tech leads, engineering managers, staff engineers, and senior individual contributors.
• Write, review, and maintain code at a senior level.
• Influence architectural and technical design decisions alongside senior individual contributors.
• Maintain engineering standards through pull-request reviews and an effective release process.
• Lead an AI-enhanced engineering team while upholding quality standards.
• Manage team commitments, delivery schedules, and quality benchmarks.
• Oversee planning, prioritization, and delivery rhythms.
• Collaborate with the Technical Product Owner and Product team on project scope, sequencing, trade-offs, and roadmap planning.
• Align engineering initiatives with overarching business goals.
• Adjust planning, prioritization, and staffing in response to evolving business needs.
• Handle hiring, interviewing, recruiting, coaching, and performance-related decisions.
• Mentor fellow engineering managers and enhance the management team's capability.
• Communicate context and escalations to leadership effectively.
• Empower senior engineers and guide team members.
• Collaborate with teams across Product, Design, GTM, Customer Success, and others.
• Over 10 years of engineering experience.
• More than 4 years in engineering management roles with active coding responsibilities.
• Practical experience in developing cloud-based SaaS products.
• Production experience managing services on Microsoft Azure; knowledge of AWS/GCP is a plus.
• Strong background in leading teams within the FinOps domain.
• API-first product development approach.
• Experience managing diverse teams, including full-stack and data engineers.
• Proven track record of visibly transforming engineering teams with measurable enhancements in delivery speed, technical quality, or team caliber.
• Deep technical fluency in the primary technology stack of the team; capable of reading, writing, and reviewing code at a senior level.
• Clear principles regarding hiring, coaching, performance management, and technical decision-making.
• Excellent judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Direct and candid communication skills.
• Strong knowledge or experience with Golang (bonus).
• Familiarity with AI-augmented workflows and knowledge of AI tools and agentic workflows (bonus).
• Practical experience with multiple cloud providers (bonus).
