• Lead an engineering team, taking ownership of both delivery and team development.

• Drive architectural and technical design decisions in collaboration with senior individual contributors.
• Maintain engineering standards through pull-request reviews and an effective release process.
• Lead an AI-enhanced engineering team while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Take ownership of team commitments, planning, prioritization, and delivery.
• Collaborate with Technical Product Owners and Product teams on scope, sequencing, trade-offs, and roadmap planning.
• Align engineering efforts with overarching business goals.
• Reassess, reprioritize, and reallocate resources as business needs evolve.
• Manage hiring, interviewing, recruiting, coaching, and performance decisions for the team.
• Mentor fellow engineering managers and strengthen the management team.
• Communicate effectively with leadership and prioritize escalations.
• Empower senior engineers and provide coaching to team members.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, GTM, Customer Success, and other teams to ensure cross-team alignment.
• Over 10 years of engineering experience, including a minimum of 4 years in engineering management roles where coding was a key responsibility.
• Practical experience in developing cloud-based SaaS products and managing services in production for Azure, ideally with additional experience in AWS/GCP.
• Proven experience in overseeing availability, cost, and the customer-facing interface of production services.
• Strong background in leading teams within the FinOps domain.
• API-first approach and experience in creating products accessible through APIs.
• Solid background in engineering management of multidisciplinary teams, including full-stack and data engineers.
• Demonstrable success in visibly transforming engineering teams with measurable enhancements in delivery speed, technical quality, or team performance.
• Deep technical expertise in the team’s primary stack, including the ability to read, write, and review code at a senior level.
• A clear philosophy regarding hiring, coaching, performance management, and technical decision-making.
• Excellent judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Direct and straightforward communication abilities.
• Strong knowledge or experience in Golang.
• Established workflows that incorporate AI and experience utilizing AI tools and agent-driven processes.
• Practical experience with multiple cloud providers.
