This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +32 more states.
• Take charge of the technical roadmap for the evolution of the administrator towards ERP patterns, including product catalog, chart of accounts, revenue recognition, billing/invoicing, and cost allocation.
• Build and manage a small, high-impact team consisting of a Project Manager and approximately 2+ engineers, integrated within the Data/Finance/Analytics organization.
• Balance the need for rapid delivery with the importance of maintaining an accurate data model, knowing when to prioritize quality.
• Establish and uphold data contracts between the administrator and downstream consumers, including Finance, Analytics, and external reporting.
• Convert finance-domain requirements into actionable engineering tasks without necessitating that your team become accountants.
• Set engineering standards, implement code review practices, and maintain architectural decision records for the internal platforms team.
• Lead quarterly planning and prioritization efforts in collaboration with Finance and Data leadership.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of domain and integration engineers.
• Over 5 years of experience managing engineering teams, ideally in internal platforms, billing systems, or ERP-related products.
• Familiarity with at least one ERP implementation (NetSuite, SAP, Workday Financials, or a custom-built equivalent).
• Ability to navigate unclear situations, transforming ambiguous directives into concrete quarterly deliverables.
• Strong collaboration skills across different organizations, spending equal time engaging with Finance and Engineering teams.
• Demonstrated success in hiring and developing engineers within domain-intensive, cross-functional settings.
• Exceptional communication abilities, effectively interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
