This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Middle East.
• Oversee the team tasked with managing the essential functions of Testlio's crowdsourced testing platform.
• Take ownership of the technical direction and delivery across key platform areas.
• Direct the design and execution of agentic workflows that plan, implement, and adapt testing operations.
• Allocate approximately 20–30% of your time to writing production code, reviewing critical-path pull requests, and approving technical designs.
• Collaborate with the AI/ML team on models and frameworks, as well as with the product team on roadmap and architecture.
• Streamline fragmented data models and update outdated services and data storage solutions.
• Establish practices for planning, prioritization, and design reviews.
• Manage production support, including triage, escalations, and root-cause analysis.
• Define service level objectives and create performance dashboards.
• Lead investigations into root causes and enhance reliability, observability, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and the Definition of Done requirements.
• Mentor engineers, introduce AI-assisted development workflows, and minimize knowledge silos through reviews and documentation.
• Report directly to the Director of Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years managing a team of 4 or more engineers in an agile, remote environment.
• Recent experience in writing production code and designing or refining production systems.
• Proficient in implementation, code review, and making architectural decisions.
• Hands-on experience developing LLM-powered or agentic features in production, or a proven ability to lead a team rapidly into a new technical domain.
• Strong familiarity with TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, and React.
• Experience in designing and building APIs is a requirement.
• Familiarity with observability and APM tools like New Relic, Datadog, or Sentry.
• Experience in optimizing slow database transactions.
• Knowledge of application security best practices and integrating security reviews into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience modernizing legacy systems or mitigating significant technical debt while maintaining product functionality.
• Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with product management and cross-functional teams in a distributed, asynchronous environment.
• Organized and meticulous in approach to standards and processes.
• Passionate about team productivity, technical excellence, and ongoing improvement.
• Results-oriented with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

• Familiarity with GraphQL and Kafka is advantageous.
• Previous experience managing a SaaS product is a plus.
