This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Lead and expand a multidisciplinary engineering team encompassing full-stack, data engineering, and business intelligence.
• Directly oversee engineers across various disciplines.
• Drive goal-setting initiatives, performance evaluations, reviews, and performance enhancement plans.
• Collaborate with recruiting to attract, hire, and onboard engineering talent.
• Foster a culture of psychological safety, continuous feedback, and accountability.
• Identify growth opportunities and develop individualized development plans.
• Provide technical guidance across C#/.NET backend services, SQL data models, and Vue 3 frontend applications.
• Supervise the design, delivery, reliability, orchestration, and quality of data engineering pipelines.
• Guide the standards for Power BI semantic models and dashboards.
• Engage in architecture and design reviews.
• Advocate for code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and observability.
• Own the execution of the roadmap in collaboration with Product and Design.
• Eliminate blockers, manage dependencies, and establish consistent agile delivery rhythms.
• Monitor and communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs.
• Drive enhancements in team velocity, quality, and developer experience.
• Act as the engineering point of contact for Product, Data, and Clinical Operations.
• Convert business and clinical requirements into technical scope and feasibility assessments.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership on organization-wide standards, tools, and planning.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• A minimum of 2 years in an engineering management or team lead position.
• Experience in hiring engineers and conducting comprehensive technical interviews.
• Proven track record in performance development, including feedback, performance management, and engineer growth.
• Hands-on experience with C#/.NET and SQL.
• Experience leading or closely collaborating with data engineering teams, including pipelines, warehousing, and orchestration.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar BI platforms at a team management level.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks; experience with Vue 3 or equivalent React/Angular frameworks is acceptable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: experience in healthcare, health-tech, or regulated industries.
• Preferred: knowledge of FHIR, HL7, or healthcare data standards.
• Preferred: experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Preferred: familiarity with dbt, Apache Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
• Preferred: experience with engineering culture initiatives, including leveling frameworks, interview training, or onboarding programs.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Required to disclose whether employment visa sponsorship is currently or will be needed in the future.
