Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Guide a team of full stack and AI/ML engineers through coaching, one-on-one meetings, development plans, and recruitment.

• Deliver products while maintaining a hands-on approach, dedicating 60–80% of your time to coding, reviewing, and shaping architectural decisions.

• Take ownership of the delivery and technical excellence of the team roadmap in collaboration with the Product Manager.

• Design features, conduct pull request reviews, and address intricate challenges within the TypeScript ecosystem.

• Elevate technical standards through code reviews, architectural mentorship, best practices, and AI-enhanced engineering workflows.

• Collaborate with engineering leadership on team structure, processes, and the technical direction of the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally, 7+ years of experience in software engineering.

• Proven success in delivering complex, scalable web applications.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.

• Capability to reason throughout the entire stack, from the database to the browser.

• Leadership experience as an Engineering Manager, team lead with direct reports, or senior tech lead.

• Experience in mentoring engineers, leading projects, and shaping team methodologies.

• Genuine enthusiasm for remaining 60–80% hands-on and coding.

• Passion for nurturing engineers and cultivating a healthy, high-performing team.

• Strong communication skills in English.

• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Familiarity with LLM-based applications or ML algorithms is a plus, but not mandatory.
