Engineering Lead / Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the technical direction strategy in alignment with the unit's business objectives.

• Create and execute an end-to-end technical architecture for the product.

• Make architectural and technological decisions.

• Translate business context into technical solutions and a roadmap.

• Directly manage iOS, Backend, AI, and QA teams.

• Assign tasks, conduct code reviews, and provide technical mentoring.

• Optimize engineering processes: planning, estimation, and release cycles.

• Manage technical risks and ensure product stability.

• Participate in product decisions as a technical expert.

• Utilize AI in the development process and implement AI-first approaches.

• Identify technical solutions for product, marketing, analytics, and content.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of commercial development experience.

• More than 1 year of direct management experience with an engineering team.

• Experience in building end-to-end product architecture: mobile + web + backend.

• Ability to translate business context into technical solutions and a roadmap.

• Experience in making architectural decisions and ownership of the technical direction.

• Strong hands-on expertise in full-stack development.

• Proven experience utilizing AI in development and a desire to implement AI-first strategies.

• Proficiency in TypeScript is mandatory.

• Experience with React, Next.js (App Router).

• Familiarity with Node.js and NestJS.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL: complex queries, indexing, and working with large tables.

• Experience in REST API and integration design.

• Proficient in Docker.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions / Fastlane or similar.

• Cross-platform understanding for independent task execution.

• Understanding of the complete iOS development cycle: architecture, release cycle, StoreKit, subscriptions.

• Knowledge of the Android development cycle and web products.

• Understanding of AI/LLM integration in products: API models, pipelines, etc.

• Experience with product analytics and A/B testing: Amplitude or similar tools.

• Understanding of the product cycle and the impact of technical decisions on product metrics.

• Experience with product monitoring and stability: Sentry, Grafana, or similar tools.

• Bonus points for experience with Swift/SwiftUI, MVVM/Clean Architecture, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Redis, BullMQ, Drizzle/ORM, Redux Toolkit, MUI, S3-compatible storage, Cloudflare, AppsFlyer, Firebase, mobile attribution, startups, or personal projects.
