Engineering Enablement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Manage comprehensive engineering onboarding and ongoing educational initiatives.

• Spearhead significant and intricate enablement projects, setting objectives, delivery methods, dependencies, and outcome assessments.

• Create scalable playbooks, documentation, educational materials, and AI-enhanced resources.

• Promote the strategic application of Generative AI and automation for enablement content, knowledge management, and workflows.

• Advocate for the adoption of engineering tools, processes, standards, and organizational practices.

• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, Operations, and other departments to address enablement requirements, synchronize priorities, and disseminate communications.

• Implement feedback systems and performance metrics to assess and enhance enablement programs.

• Mentor and guide colleagues engaged in enablement initiatives.

• Assess emerging technologies and methodologies that could enhance engineering productivity and knowledge accessibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of relevant professional experience in Engineering Enablement, Technical Training, Learning and Development, Technical Communications, Instructional Design, Program Management, Business Operations, or a related discipline, or comparable experience and education.

• Proven track record of managing major or complex cross-functional programs with significant ownership, independent decision-making, and minimal supervision.

• Extensive experience in developing scalable technical learning, documentation, knowledge management, or enablement programs tailored for technical audiences.

• Strong background in collaborating with Engineering leaders and subject matter experts to assess complex needs and convert technical ideas into actionable strategies and resources.

• Demonstrated capability to influence stakeholders across various functions, foster alignment, and offer guidance or coaching to peers.

• Robust program and project management skills, including approach definition, dependency management, priority coordination, and outcome evaluation.

• Proven experience in utilizing Generative AI for content creation, knowledge management, communications, or workflow automation.

• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation abilities.

• Preferred: Experience in a global software engineering, SaaS, cloud, or technology organization.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Agile development, DevOps, cloud technologies, and contemporary software engineering practices.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Confluence, Learning Management Systems, knowledge management platforms, documentation tools, or similar enterprise enablement technologies.

• Preferred: Experience in designing AI-assisted learning or knowledge solutions, videos, e-learning, interactive learning content, workshops, or other scalable educational experiences.
