This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.
• Take ownership of the operational health and service delivery model for the engineering applications portfolio.
• Develop support processes, service expectations, escalation paths, and operational rhythms.
• Collaborate with Engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to set priorities and manage trade-offs.
• Track service performance, recurring issues, portfolio risks, and service metrics.
• Facilitate response, escalation, communication, and resolution for significant application issues.
• Implement incident, problem, and change management practices.
• Drive root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Balance production support with maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for support procedures, known issues, releases, and dependencies.
• Oversee application lifecycle management, encompassing version planning, patching, upgrades, compatibility reviews, and retirement strategies.
• Coordinate release calendars, testing readiness, deployment strategies, and change communications.
• Manage vendor support cases, product issues, roadmaps, licensing considerations, and upgrade dependencies.
• Govern applications in accordance with enterprise technology, security, and support standards.
• Assess enhancements and configuration options while ensuring supportability.
• Lead the intake and prioritization of requests, enhancements, defects, and operational improvements.
• Convert stakeholder needs into a prioritized backlog with timelines and ownership assignments.
• Coordinate improvement initiatives across specialists, enterprise applications teams, vendors, and technical teams.
• Drive enhancements that alleviate support burdens and enhance user experience, consistency, and reliability.
• Report on priorities, progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead and develop assigned engineering application resources through workload management, coaching, goal setting, feedback, and capability development.
• Establish role expectations, support responsibilities, and team operational rhythms.
• Cultivate accountability, responsiveness, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Contribute to shaping future organizational design and resourcing requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, construction technology, or a related field is required.
• Relevant years of experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in supporting, administering, or managing engineering/design applications in architecture, engineering, construction, or a related field is required.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Forma, or comparable ecosystems is essential.
• Experience with application lifecycle management, including upgrades, version control, release planning, issue resolution, and operational support is necessary.
• Proven experience in managing stakeholder priorities, vendor relationships, and cross-functional coordination between business and technology teams is required.
• Background in leading or coordinating support processes, service enhancements, and platform governance is essential.
• Proficiency in software configuration, plug-in management, environment standards, and compatibility considerations across engineering platforms is required.
• Previous experience in people leadership or team coordination is preferred.
• Excellent communication, documentation, prioritization, and organizational skills are mandatory.
• Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management practices is preferred.
• Experience with automation tools, APIs, scripting, or customizations on engineering platforms is preferred.
