Engineering and Geology Development Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.

📋 Description

• Engage in a comprehensive two-year Engineering & Geology Development Program featuring three immersive rotations.

• Acquire practical experience at a mining site, collaborating with metallurgical and mining engineers, geologists, and operations teams.

• Assist in the daily operations of the plant and contribute to metallurgical troubleshooting activities.

• Participate in metallurgical sampling, testing, and data analysis efforts.

• Play a role in initiatives aimed at process optimization and recovery enhancement.

• Take part in core logging, sampling, and geological mapping activities.

• Support resource modeling and grade control efforts.

• Work alongside exploration teams on drilling initiatives.

• Aid in daily mine operations and contribute to cross-functional safety and process improvement projects.

• Assist with technical reporting and the analysis of data.

• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to gain insights into mine operations.

• Transition into a permanent position with SSR Mining upon successful completion of the program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining/Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology, Mine Process disciplines, or a closely related field.

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience.

• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Willingness to work in a remote mining environment.

• A genuine passion for the mining industry and a keen desire to learn.

• Permanent work authorization in the US or Canada.
