
Engineered Solutions Specialist – Geo Stormwater

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create opportunities for the incorporation of Ferguson’s engineered stormwater, erosion, and geosynthetic products and solutions into civil sitework projects within the designated territory.
• Showcase and advocate for engineered products and solutions to civil engineers, municipalities, and landscape architects.
• Evaluate and enhance Ferguson’s market position to influence agencies, owners, and specifiers of civil sitework solutions.
• Boost industry visibility through tradeshows, conferences, meetings, and presentations.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations across the assigned geography.
• Investigate and comprehend local green infrastructure regulations to develop targeted sales strategies for municipalities and developers.
• Engage with end users, engineering firms, and contractors to support project opportunities and enhance product awareness.
• Coordinate and oversee projects through the specification process alongside the Regional Design Engineer/Technical Designer.
• Contribute to the national growth initiatives of the Geosynthetics and Stormwater Management team.
• Assist contractors and municipalities with installation and maintenance practices for green infrastructure technologies, including pre-bid, pre-construction, and post-construction meetings.
• Provide management with prompt feedback on ongoing projects and sales, including tracking the generated project pipeline.
• A degree in Civil Engineering or an Engineering license is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience with innovative products in the Geosynthetics and Stormwater Management field is preferred.
• Previous technical writing experience, including proposals, emails, and submittals, is required.
• Must be a competent and engaging public speaker.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications and navigating various software systems, are required.
• Basic reporting experience using Excel, including sorting, filtering, and data compilation, is required.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proven relationship-building, customer service, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must possess flexibility, adaptability, and multitasking abilities, including managing multiple urgent requests.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Candidates must reside in the greater Houston area.
• Regular travel within Texas and Louisiana is required.
