Engineer, Systems Readiness – Performance Feature

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design of innovative Autonomous Vehicle features while consistently enhancing existing functionalities for optimal performance and safety.

• Implement engineering best practices to design, analyze, and evaluate essential AV features.

• Work collaboratively with product, autonomy, operations, and safety teams to define vehicle behaviors and establish design criteria.

• Develop validation and verification suites encompassing software integration, simulation, Hardware-in-the-Loop, and closed-course test tracks.

• Set performance metrics and implement automated checks for controlled testing and monitoring of in-service data.

• Lead safety analyses of feature designs.

• Identify root causes of issues encountered during testing or on the road and assist in determining corrective measures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Control Systems, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

• Excellent technical writing skills for conducting root cause analysis and setting design and verification objectives.

• Experience with systems engineering and safety analysis methodologies.

• A pragmatic, results-driven engineering approach with the capability to guide complex projects to successful completion.

• Practical experience in robotics validation testing, including HIL, SIL, and Integration Software Level.

• Proficiency in programmatic data analysis and visualization, preferably using Python, SQL, or MATLAB.

• Previous experience working directly with autonomous vehicles or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is preferred.
