Engineer Surveyor, Lift & Crane

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive statutory inspections of lifts, cranes, LEV, and associated equipment.

• Offer specialized engineering insights to assist clients in adhering to applicable legislation.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with Zurich Engineering clients.

• Organize your schedule and provide services within a designated client region.

• Document inspection results using a durable laptop.

• Deliver inspection reports electronically to clients.

• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary inspection team.

• Report to a Team Manager.

• Complete industry-leading tailored training and advance to competency and qualification levels.

• Work remotely while traveling a reasonable distance to client locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Seasoned engineer with a solid understanding of the relevant engineering discipline.

• Ideally possess a Level 4 qualification (HND/HNC etc.) in a pertinent engineering area; a minimum of Level 3 is required.

• Completion of either a time-served or Modern Apprenticeship.

• Practical experience in a relevant engineering field.

• Previous experience with lifts and/or crane equipment is advantageous.

• Practical experience in manufacturing, repair, maintenance, mechanical, or motor trade roles.

• Compex qualification is a plus.

• P601 LEV qualification is beneficial.

• Inspection and testing qualification (C&G 2391-52 or equivalent).

• Full valid UK driving licence.

• Proficient IT skills and high literacy levels.

• Exceptional communication skills and confidence in making sound engineering decisions.

• Willingness and capacity to work paid overtime.
