Engagement Manager I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Supervise engagements to ensure that objectives are achieved, deadlines are met, and budgets are adhered to.

• Confirm that internal compliance standards are fulfilled.

• Oversee the financial aspects of engagements, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring profitability.

• Optimize resource allocation and enhance team performance and engagement results.

• Recognize potential risks and develop strategies for their mitigation.

• Establish and nurture relationships with client stakeholders, ensuring that services align with their long-term objectives.

• Provide consistent progress updates, address challenges, and communicate outcomes to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Compile performance reports and present findings to senior management and clients.

• Lead engagement teams, mentor junior staff, and promote collaboration.

• Enhance client satisfaction and retention by delivering exceptional services and promptly resolving issues.

• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling in collaboration with sales and practice partners to foster organic growth.

• Measure the business benefits of engagement outcomes throughout the engagement lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in project management.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proficient time management and organizational skills.

• Effective people management skills.

• Familiarity with project management fundamentals or experience as an acting Scrum Master.

• Knowledge of professional services agreements, including the change management process.

• Exposure to IT Managed Services, project management courses, and various IT certifications.

• Proven skills in project risk analysis and mitigation.

• Preferred: Experience in the IT Professional Services sector.

• Preferred certifications: PMP and/or IAOP (Outsourcing Professional) and Scrum Master certification.

• Preferred familiarity with Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP.

• May require travel several times a year.
