This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Lead internal project teams across various workstreams.
• Define roles and responsibilities, establish direction on key deliverables, communicate program-level milestones, and oversee work effort and quality.
• Coordinate interdependent workstreams and manage resource engagement.
• Provide continuous coaching and feedback to Analysts, Consultants, and Senior Consultants.
• Engage in scoping discussions with FMI Partners and clients.
• Develop client communication schedules and facilitate project kickoff meetings.
• Create and align client engagement plans based on workplans, feedback, and observations from scoping.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients, FMI’s Client Manager, Partners, project teams, and other stakeholders.
• Drive program delivery, including timelines, executive-level client presentations, meeting facilitation, quality deliverables, and realization of client value.
• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients and foster trusted executive-level relationships.
• Understand FMI’s comprehensive range of services and connect clients with suitable resources.
• Support account health, proposal development, and business development initiatives.
• Contribute to contract renewals, extensions, and the growth of the Energy & Power practice.
• Mentor and develop junior team members through project leadership, delegation, coaching, internal initiatives, and speaking engagements.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline; master’s degree is preferred.
• 5–8 years of consulting experience.
• A minimum of 3 years in consulting.
• Over 2 years focused specifically on energy and power.
• Direct experience with major capital project management, such as generation, transmission and distribution, gas transmission, or data centers, is preferred.
• Experience in operational leadership within a complex organization, including managing individuals and/or cross-functional teams.
• Advanced expertise in the energy and power industry across multiple client engagements.
• Exceptional program management skills and demonstrated executive presence.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and consultative selling abilities.
• Capability to guide clients through strategic decision-making.
• Proven ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, develop others, and influence outcomes and behaviors without formal authority.
• Experience in driving change and influencing senior and executive leadership.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, facilitation, and listening skills.
• Comfortable leading discussions and providing feedback to executive-level clients.
• Ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships while managing multiple deadlines, projects, client needs, and team priorities.
• Demonstrated maturity and integrity.
• Capacity to perform effectively both independently and as a team leader in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
