Engagement Delivery Manager

📋 Description

• Oversee audit engagements from the initial planning phase through fieldwork to the final reporting and agreement on actions.

• Utilize independence, professional skepticism, and sound judgment to evaluate risks, controls, and business processes.

• Foster trusted relationships with stakeholders while upholding the credibility and objectivity of the Internal Audit function.

• Convert evidence into clear, concise, and actionable insights for management.

• Recognize themes, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Persuade through effective communication, constructive challenges, and discussions grounded in evidence.

• Aid in the ongoing enhancement of Internal Audit methodologies, quality standards, and working practices.

• Collaborate with team members across the Internal Audit department.

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based, and proportionate assurance that focuses on significant risks and decision-making.

• Proven experience in delivering comprehensive internal audit or assurance engagements in complex organizations.

• Strong professional judgment and confidence to draw balanced, evidence-based conclusions.

• Ability to thrive in an environment that prioritizes outcomes, accountability, and critical thinking over rigid, tick-box auditing.

• Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement with the ability to establish credibility, trust, and influence at all levels.

• Commercial awareness and an interest in the interconnections among strategy, operations, risk, and governance within an organization.

• Outstanding communication and reporting skills, including the ability to clarify complex issues and translate findings into actionable business insights.

• A curious mindset with a desire to uncover root causes, broader implications, and opportunities for enhancement.

• Experience in delivery-focused settings where quality, accountability, and measurable outcomes are essential.

• Experience in investment management, pensions, asset management, or broader financial services is a plus.
