This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement strategies to enhance existing accounts and broaden the customer base.
• Identify and target new customers within the Oil & Gas sector across the market.
• Generate new business through networking, prospecting, cold calls, industry events, and relationship building.
• Drive opportunities through the sales cycle from initial contact to closure.
• Spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Achieve or surpass sales targets and business goals.
• Cultivate strong, profitable, and long-lasting customer relationships.
• Comprehend customer applications, challenges, and business requirements to provide customized solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders at various levels, including senior executives.
• Address customer requests and inquiries promptly.
• Participate in industry conferences and events.
• Acquire knowledge of product applications within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Assist customers with polymers, molded and machined components, films, and other Oil & Gas materials.
• Collaborate with technical teams to provide product information, application support, and technical guidance.
• Assess customer needs and recommend both technical and commercial solutions.
• Aid in quoting and estimating based on conceptual engineering designs.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations.
• Negotiate contracts and engage in pricing agreements.
• Generate, qualify, and follow up on sales leads effectively.
• Build and oversee a pipeline of account opportunities.
• Conduct market research and gather competitive insights.
• Monitor industry regulations, standards, technical developments, and customer requirements.
• Provide internal feedback regarding market trends and customer preferences.
• Maintain records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunity tracking.
• Report on sales performance and customer feedback regularly.
• Utilize CRM tools to manage opportunities and account activities efficiently.
• Keep up product knowledge through ongoing training and development.
• Travel approximately 60% to 70% of the time, including occasional international travel.
• Represent Mitsubishi Chemical at customer meetings, conferences, and industry events.
• A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or technical roles is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of the Oil & Gas market across the Americas is necessary.
• Extensive sales experience in developing and nurturing strategic customer relationships.
• Solid technical aptitude and understanding of a diverse product portfolio.
• Familiarity with Oil & Gas materials and associated molding, extrusion, and casting applications.
• Capability to engage and influence senior-level customer stakeholders.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
• Exceptional networking and relationship-building abilities are a must.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are necessary.
• Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform is beneficial.
• Established relationships or a network within the Oil & Gas industry is advantageous.
• Experience working with large OEMs, mid-sized organizations, small companies, and emerging businesses is preferred.
• Sales leadership or management experience is valued.
• Familiarity with technical materials and engineered solutions used in Oil & Gas applications is a plus.
