This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +43 more states.
β’ Lead and oversee an individual energy storage preconstruction project.
β’ Collaborate across engineering, scheduling, change management, budgeting, and documentation for project closeout.
β’ Maintain a ledger for cost control along with job cost statements.
β’ Prepare invoices and expedite payment processes.
β’ Establish and manage all components of the CMiC system.
β’ Prepare, solicit, and assess bid packages.
β’ Draft project procedures.
β’ Review plans for accuracy and completeness.
β’ Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical personnel.
β’ Ensure procurement aligns with the LNTP scope, budget, and schedules.
β’ Develop contract scopes of work in collaboration with business development, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal teams.
β’ Coordinate procurement of long-lead items during the LNTP phase.
β’ Define and create LNTPs.
β’ Research design, owner/contract, and permit requirements specific to the project.
β’ Monitor changes that impact the schedule or budget and report them to the Project Executive.
β’ Represent SOLV Energy in meetings with owners.
β’ Assist in the reconciliation of estimates for each design iteration.
β’ Maintain precise cost forecasting and reporting on estimated costs at completion.
β’ Manage project risks and formulate mitigation plans.
β’ Build and sustain relationships with owners, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
β’ At least 3 years of experience in Energy Storage Construction.
β’ Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent experience.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of plans and specifications.
β’ Field experience of 5-8 years as a Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
β’ Leadership skills to organize a cohesive, high-performing project team in a remote work environment.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills along with effective organizational abilities.
β’ Proficient in MS Office suite and industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam Revu.
β’ Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting principles.
β’ Excellent interpersonal skills.
β’ Detail-oriented, motivated self-starter.
β’ Willingness to travel, approximately 25% of the time.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of construction experience.
β’ At least 2 years of scheduling and estimating experience.
β’ Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
