This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and target potential clients within the designated territory, including large commercial and industrial enterprises as well as institutions.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet sales objectives and revenue targets.
• Establish and maintain a sales pipeline through MQLs, SQLs, networking, referrals, industry events, and proactive outreach.
• Conduct thorough needs assessments encompassing energy consumption, sustainability aspirations, budgets, and financial goals.
• Inform clients about Environ's solutions, including community solar, VPPA programs, energy efficiency, engineering projects, carbon tracking, sustainability training, and energy procurement.
• Tailor proposals and presentations to meet client needs while addressing any concerns or objections.
• Foster client relationships through clear communication, prompt follow-ups, and exceptional customer service.
• Act as a trusted advisor from the initial inquiry through project execution and beyond.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, sales support, operations, and customer service teams.
• Keep abreast of clean energy industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
• Record all sales activities and opportunities in the CRM system.
• Provide market dynamics reports and updates to the sales management team.
• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, sustainability, or a related discipline is mandatory.
• Over 5 years of experience in energy sales.
• Proven track record of successfully cross-selling products in the manufacturing, higher/private education, or healthcare sectors.
• A combination of 5+ years of relevant experience and energy-related certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex enterprise-wide sales cycles in energy, clean energy, renewable energy, or sustainability.
• Ability to identify and research leads within specific market segments.
• Proficient in prospecting and cold-calling, including crafting persuasive scripts, handling objections, and following up effectively.
• Capability to qualify leads utilizing the BANT framework.
• Strong networking abilities through trade shows, conferences, webinars, local events, clients, and business connections.
• Solid understanding of clean energy technologies, principles of energy efficiency, and concepts of environmental sustainability.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work autonomously in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales productivity tools.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
