Endocrinology Physician – Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care through a telemedicine platform focusing on obesity and comprehensive diabetes management.

• Oversee insulin titration and the management of patients utilizing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors (CGMs).

• Maintain an individual patient panel or collaborate with and supervise Endocrine Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Registered Dietitians.

• Review medical charts and conduct both initial and follow-up visits.

• Manage Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)/End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)/Cardiovascular (CV) conditions.

• Provide advanced treatment planning and medical management for complex endocrinology cases.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes management.

• Ensure adherence to clinical documentation standards, protocols, and treatment pathways.

• Support the professional development, clinical growth, feedback, and continuing education of colleagues.

• Engage in team-based care initiatives and quality improvement projects.

• Attend departmental meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Specialized training in Endocrinology and Obesity Medicine.

• Valid medical license to practice and prescribe legally in any state within the US.

• Ability to obtain additional state licenses as necessary.

• Board certified Endocrinologist by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

• MD or DO degree required.

• Current Board certification in Endocrinology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and pharmacotherapy in obesity medicine or endocrinology post-residency, OR completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine in lieu of experience.

• Active and unrestricted Medical State License in any US state.

• Eligibility for obtaining additional state licenses; Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) preferred but not mandatory.

• Currently enrolled with Medicare.

• Proficient in managing CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Expertise in CGMs, insulin pumps, and complex insulin regimens.

• Experience collaborating with APPs, medical residents, or trainees in a clinical academic environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Willingness to work in one of the following W2 roles: 32hrs/week, 36hrs/week, or 40hrs/week.

• Preferred experience in providing synchronous patient care in a telehealth setting.

• Bilingual candidates with medical fluency in Spanish are preferred, but not required.
