Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care in a telemedicine environment focused on obesity and comprehensive diabetes management.

• Carry out insulin titration and oversee patients utilizing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems.

• Maintain an individual patient panel or collaborate with and supervise Endocrine Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Registered Dietitians.

• Review patient charts and conduct initial assessments as well as follow-up visits.

• Manage Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)/End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and Coronary Artery Disease/Cardiovascular (CAD/CV) conditions.

• Provide advanced treatment planning and medical management for intricate endocrinology cases.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes management.

• Ensure adherence to consistent clinical documentation, established protocols, and treatment pathways.

• Promote the clinical development of colleagues and support ongoing education.

• Engage in team-based care initiatives.

• Attend departmental meetings and participate in quality improvement activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Specialization in Endocrinology and Obesity Medicine.

• MD or DO degree is required.

• Valid and current Board certification in Endocrinology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and pharmacotherapy in obesity medicine or endocrinology after residency, OR completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine in place of work experience.

• Active and unrestricted Medical State License in any US state.

• Eligibility to obtain additional state licenses; IMLC is preferred but not mandatory.

• Currently enrolled in Medicare.

• Proficiency in managing CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Expertise in Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps, and complex insulin regimens.

• Experience collaborating with APPs, medical residents, or trainees within a clinical academic environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Willingness to work 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Prior experience in delivering synchronous patient care in a telehealth setting is preferred.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Spanish medical fluency is preferred but not essential.
