Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care through telemedicine focused on obesity and comprehensive diabetes management.

• Oversee insulin titration and manage patients utilizing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors.

• Maintain a patient panel or work in collaboration with and supervise Endocrine Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Registered Dietitians.

• Evaluate patient charts and conduct both initial and follow-up visits.

• Manage Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)/End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)/Cardiovascular (CV) conditions.

• Provide advanced treatment planning and medical management for intricate endocrinology cases.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes management.

• Ensure consistent clinical documentation, adherence to protocols, and treatment pathways.

• Facilitate the professional development of colleagues through constructive feedback and continuing education opportunities.

• Engage in team-based care, attend departmental meetings, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.

• Valid and current Board certification in Endocrinology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and pharmacotherapy in obesity medicine or endocrinology, post-residency, OR completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine in lieu of years of experience.

• Active and unrestricted Medical State License in any U.S. State, with eligibility to obtain additional state licenses.

• Currently opted into Medicare.

• Proficiency in managing complex co-morbidities, including CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Expertise in advanced diabetes management, including the use of Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps, and complex insulin regimens.

• Experience working with APPs, medical residents, or trainees in a clinical academic environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Availability for a W-2 role of 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

• Certification by the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) is strongly preferred.

• Experience with synchronous telehealth is preferred.
