Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care through telemedicine for the management of obesity and diabetes in a comprehensive manner.

• Conduct insulin titration and oversee patients utilizing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems.

• Maintain a patient panel or work in collaboration with and supervise APPs and Registered Dietitians.

• Evaluate patient charts and perform initial and follow-up consultations.

• Manage cases involving CKD/ESRD and CAD/CV conditions, along with complex endocrinology issues.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes management.

• Ensure adherence to clinical documentation standards, protocols, and treatment pathways.

• Support the clinical development of colleagues and encourage ongoing education.

• Engage in team-based care initiatives, departmental meetings, and efforts for quality improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree is required.

• Must possess a valid and current Board certification in Endocrinology issued by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pharmacotherapy for obesity medicine or endocrinology after residency, or completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine in place of experience is needed.

• Must hold an active and unrestricted Medical State License in any U.S. State, and be eligible to acquire additional state licenses.

• Currently enrolled with Medicare is necessary.

• Proficient in managing complex co-morbid conditions, such as CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV diseases.

• Expertise in advanced diabetes management, including the use of CGMs, insulin pumps, and intricate insulin regimens.

• Experience collaborating with APPs, medical residents, or trainees in a clinical academic environment is preferred.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Willingness to work W2 schedules of 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is desired, but not mandatory.

• Prior telehealth experience is preferred.
