Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care within a telemedicine environment for obesity and comprehensive diabetes management.

• Execute insulin titration and oversee patients utilizing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors.

• Maintain a patient panel or collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Registered Dietitians who specialize in diabetes treatment.

• Work in collaboration with and supervise APPs as required.

• Review medical charts and conduct initial as well as follow-up visits.

• Manage chronic kidney disease (CKD), end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and coronary artery disease (CAD) or cardiovascular (CV) conditions.

• Provide advanced treatment planning and medical management support for complex endocrinology cases.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes.

• Ensure adherence to consistent clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways.

• Foster colleagues’ professional development, clinical growth, feedback, and ongoing education.

• Engage in team-based care initiatives and departmental meetings.

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the diabetes and obesity medicine program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Specialization in Endocrinology and Obesity Medicine.

• MD or DO degree required.

• Valid and current ABIM Board certification in Endocrinology.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in obesity medicine or endocrinology, post-residency, OR completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine in place of years of experience.

• Active and unrestricted medical state license in any U.S. state.

• Eligibility to acquire additional state licenses; IMLC preferred but not mandatory.

• Currently opted in with Medicare.

• Proficiency in managing complex co-morbidities including CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Expertise in advanced diabetes management, including continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps, and complex insulin regimens.

• Experience working alongside APPs, medical residents, or trainees in a clinical academic setting.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Willingness to work a W-2 position of 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Dedication to providing patient-centered, culturally competent care.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bilingual medical fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

• Experience in synchronous telehealth patient care is preferred.
