Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct telemedicine care for obesity and comprehensive management of diabetes, including insulin titration, insulin pumps, and continuous glucose monitors (CGMs).

• Oversee a personal patient panel or collaborate with and mentor Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Registered Dietitians specializing in diabetes care.

• Assess patient charts and conduct both initial and follow-up visits.

• Manage chronic kidney disease (CKD)/end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and coronary artery disease (CAD)/cardiovascular (CV) conditions, along with complex endocrinology cases.

• Provide advanced treatment planning and medical management support for escalated clinical issues.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes management.

• Ensure adherence to clinical documentation standards, protocols, and treatment pathways consistently.

• Foster professional growth among colleagues through constructive feedback and continuing education opportunities.

• Engage in team-based care initiatives, departmental meetings, and quality improvement projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree is required.

• Current and valid Board certification in Endocrinology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and pharmacotherapy in obesity medicine or endocrinology post-residency, or completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine in place of years of experience.

• Active and unrestricted Medical State License in any US State, with the potential to obtain additional state licenses.

• Must be currently opted-in with Medicare.

• Proficient in managing complex co-morbidities, including CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Specialized knowledge in advanced diabetes management, including CGMs, insulin pumps, and complex insulin regimens.

• Experience working with APPs, medical residents, or trainees in a clinical academic environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Willing to work one of the following W-2 schedules: 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Previous experience providing synchronous patient care in a telehealth environment is preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred, but not mandatory.
