Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care through a telemedicine platform focusing on obesity and comprehensive diabetes management.

• Oversee insulin titration and manage patients utilizing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors.

• Maintain a personal patient panel or collaborate with and supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Registered Dietitians.

• Review medical charts and conduct both initial and follow-up visits.

• Manage conditions related to Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)/End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)/Cardiovascular (CV) issues.

• Provide advanced treatment planning and medical management for intricate endocrinology cases.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes management.

• Ensure adherence to clinical documentation standards, protocols, and treatment pathways.

• Foster the professional growth of colleagues through feedback and ongoing education.

• Engage in team-based care initiatives, departmental meetings, and quality improvement activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree required.

• Current and valid Board certification in Endocrinology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and pharmacotherapy in obesity medicine or endocrinology after residency, OR completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine as a substitute for experience.

• An active and unrestricted medical license in any US state.

• Eligibility to acquire additional state licenses; Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) preferred but not mandatory.

• Currently enrolled with Medicare.

• Proficiency in managing complex co-morbidities, such as CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Expertise in advanced diabetes management, incorporating Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps, and intricate insulin regimens.

• Experience in collaborating with APPs, medical residents, or trainees within a clinical academic environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Willingness to accept W-2 positions of 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Dedication to patient-centered, culturally competent care.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Bilingual candidates with proficiency in Spanish are preferred but not required.

• Experience with synchronous telehealth is desirable.
