Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct telemedicine services for obesity management and comprehensive diabetes care, which includes insulin titration and the use of insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors (CGMs).

• Maintain an individual patient panel or work in collaboration with and oversee Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Registered Dietitians as necessary.

• Review patient charts and conduct initial and follow-up visits.

• Manage conditions related to Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), and Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and Cardiovascular (CV) issues.

• Provide advanced treatment planning and medical management support for complex endocrinology cases and urgent concerns.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes treatment.

• Ensure consistent clinical documentation, adherence to protocols, and established treatment pathways.

• Promote the clinical development of colleagues through constructive feedback, mentoring, and ongoing education.

• Engage in team-based care initiatives.

• Attend departmental meetings and actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree.

• Current and valid Board certification in Endocrinology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and pharmacotherapy in obesity medicine or endocrinology following residency, or completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine as a substitute for years of experience.

• Active and unrestricted Medical State License in any U.S. State.

• Eligibility to obtain additional state licenses as required; Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) preferred but not mandatory.

• Currently enrolled with Medicare.

• Proficiency in managing complex co-morbidities, including CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Expertise in advanced diabetes management techniques, including CGMs, insulin pumps, and intricate insulin regimens.

• Experience collaborating with Endocrine-Specialized APPs and Registered Dietitians.

• Demonstrated experience working with APPs, medical residents, or trainees in a clinical academic environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Willingness to work in a W-2 role for 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Dedication to providing patient-centered, culturally competent care.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in synchronous telehealth patient care is preferred.

• Medical fluency in Spanish is desired but not essential.
