Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care via telemedicine focusing on obesity and comprehensive diabetes management.

• Execute insulin titration and oversee patients utilizing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors.

• Maintain a patient panel or collaborate with and supervise Endocrine Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Registered Dietitians as necessary.

• Review patient charts and conduct initial and follow-up visits.

• Manage chronic kidney disease (CKD), end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and coronary artery disease/cardiovascular (CAD/CV) conditions.

• Provide advanced treatment planning and medical management for complex endocrinology cases.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes.

• Ensure consistent clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways are maintained.

• Promote the clinical growth of colleagues and support ongoing education.

• Engage in team-based care, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree required.

• Active ABIM Board certification in Endocrinology.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and pharmacotherapy in obesity medicine or endocrinology after residency, OR completion of an accredited Fellowship in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine in place of work experience.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted medical license in any US state.

• Eligibility to secure additional state licenses; IMLC preferred but not mandatory.

• Currently opted into Medicare.

• Proficiency in managing complex co-morbidities, including CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Expertise in advanced diabetes management, including continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps, and intricate insulin regimens.

• Experience collaborating with APPs, medical residents, or trainees in a clinical academic environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Availability for a W-2 role at 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Preference for candidates with experience in providing synchronous telehealth patient care.

• Spanish medical fluency is a plus but not required.

• Dedication to patient-centered, culturally competent care.
