Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care via telemedicine for obesity and comprehensive diabetes management.

• Conduct insulin titration and oversee patients utilizing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors.

• Maintain a patient panel or collaborate with and supervise Endocrine Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Registered Dietitians.

• Review patient charts and perform initial assessments as well as follow-up visits.

• Manage chronic kidney disease (CKD), end-stage renal disease (ESRD), coronary artery disease (CAD), cardiovascular (CV) conditions, and intricate endocrinology cases.

• Provide advanced treatment planning and medical management assistance for escalated issues.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes management.

• Ensure adherence to consistent clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways.

• Support the professional development and clinical growth of colleagues through feedback and continuing education opportunities.

• Engage in team-based care, departmental meetings, and initiatives aimed at quality improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree is required.

• Current Board certification in Endocrinology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pharmacotherapy for obesity medicine or endocrinology after residency, OR completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine can substitute for experience.

• Active and unrestricted Medical State License in any US State, with the ability to acquire additional state licenses (IMLC preferred, but not obligatory).

• Must currently be opted-in with Medicare.

• Proficiency in managing complex co-morbidities, including CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Expertise in advanced diabetes management, including the use of continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps, and intricate insulin regimens.

• Experience in collaborating with APPs, medical residents, or trainees in a clinical academic environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Willingness to work in one of the following W2 roles: 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• ABOM certification is highly preferred but not mandatory.

• Synchronous telehealth experience is preferred.

• Medical fluency in Spanish is desired but not required.
