Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care in a telemedicine environment focusing on obesity and comprehensive diabetes management.

• Conduct insulin titration and oversee patients utilizing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors.

• Maintain an individual patient panel or collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Registered Dietitians, including supervision and collaboration with APPs as necessary.

• Review patient charts and conduct both initial and follow-up visits.

• Manage chronic kidney disease (CKD), end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and coronary artery disease/cardiovascular (CAD/CV) conditions.

• Provide advanced treatment planning and medical management support for intricate endocrinology cases.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes.

• Ensure adherence to clinical documentation standards, protocols, and treatment pathways.

• Mentor colleagues and support their professional growth through feedback and continuing education opportunities.

• Engage in team-based care initiatives, departmental meetings, and quality improvement projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree required.

• Active and current Board certification in Endocrinology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and pharmacotherapy in obesity medicine or endocrinology following residency, or completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine in lieu of experience.

• Must possess an active and unrestricted medical license in any US state, with eligibility for additional state licenses; IMLC preferred but not mandatory.

• Must be currently opted-in with Medicare.

• Proficient in managing complex co-morbidities, including CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Expertise in advanced diabetes management, including the use of CGMs, insulin pumps, and complex insulin regimens.

• Experience working with APPs, medical residents, or trainees within a clinical academic environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Open to W-2 schedules of 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Dedication to patient-centered, culturally competent care.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

• Experience in telehealth synchronous patient care is preferred.
