Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct telemedicine services focused on obesity and thorough diabetes management, including insulin titration, as well as care for patients utilizing insulin pumps or continuous glucose monitors (CGMs).

• Oversee an individual patient panel, while also collaborating with and supervising Endocrine Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Registered Dietitians.

• Evaluate patient charts and conduct both initial consultations and follow-up visits.

• Manage chronic kidney disease (CKD), end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and coronary artery disease (CAD) alongside cardiovascular (CV) conditions.

• Provide advanced treatment planning and medical oversight for intricate endocrinology cases.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes management.

• Ensure uniform clinical documentation, adherence to protocols, and established treatment pathways.

• Support the clinical development of colleagues and promote continuing education.

• Engage in team-based care initiatives.

• Attend departmental meetings and actively contribute to quality improvement projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree.

• Valid and current Board certification in Endocrinology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and pharmacotherapy in obesity medicine or endocrinology after residency, OR completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine in lieu of experience.

• Active and unrestricted Medical State License in any US State, with eligibility to acquire additional state licenses (IMLC preferred, but not mandatory).

• Currently enrolled in Medicare.

• Proficiency in managing complex co-morbidities such as CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Expertise in advanced diabetes management techniques, including CGMs, insulin pumps, and sophisticated insulin protocols.

• Experience collaborating with APPs, medical residents, or trainees in a clinical academic environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Willingness to accept one of the following W2 roles: 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• ABOM certification is highly preferred.

• Experience with synchronous telehealth services is preferred.

• Medical fluency in Spanish is desirable but not essential.
