Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care through telemedicine for obesity and comprehensive management of diabetes, including insulin titration and patients utilizing insulin pumps or CGMs.

• Oversee an individual patient panel or collaborate with and supervise Endocrine APPs and Registered Dietitians specializing in diabetes as necessary.

• Evaluate patient charts and conduct both initial and follow-up visits.

• Manage conditions related to CKD/ESRD and CAD/CV, as well as complex endocrinology cases.

• Offer advanced treatment planning and medical management support for escalated issues and specialized protocols.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes.

• Ensure adherence to clinical documentation standards, protocols, and treatment pathways.

• Support the clinical development of colleagues, provide constructive feedback, and encourage ongoing education.

• Engage in team-based care initiatives, departmental meetings, and quality improvement projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree.

• Current and valid Board certification in Endocrinology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and pharmacotherapy in obesity medicine or endocrinology post-residency, OR completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine in place of experience.

• Active and unrestricted medical license in any US state, with the ability to acquire additional state licenses; IMLC preferred but not mandatory.

• Currently opted-in with Medicare.

• Proficient in managing complex co-morbidities, including CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Specialized knowledge in advanced diabetes management, including CGMs, insulin pumps, and intricate insulin regimens.

• Experience collaborating with APPs, medical residents, or trainees within a clinical academic environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Openness to a W-2 role of 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Synchronous telehealth experience preferred.

• Spanish medical fluency is a plus but not essential.

• ABOM certification is highly desirable.
