Endocrinology Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Deliver direct patient care via telemedicine for obesity treatment and comprehensive diabetes management.

• Execute insulin titration and oversee patients utilizing insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems.

• Manage a personal patient panel and/or collaborate with and supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Registered Dietitians.

• Review patient charts and conduct both initial and follow-up visits.

• Address Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), and Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) as well as Cardiovascular (CV) conditions.

• Provide advanced treatment planning and medical management for complex cases in endocrinology.

• Prescribe non-controlled medications for obesity and diabetes management.

• Ensure the maintenance of accurate clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways.

• Support the clinical development of colleagues through constructive feedback and ongoing education.

• Engage in team-oriented care initiatives and departmental meetings.

• Contribute to efforts aimed at improving quality within the diabetes and obesity medicine program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Specialized knowledge in Endocrinology and Obesity Medicine.

• MD or DO degree is required.

• Current and valid American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification in Endocrinology.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and pharmacotherapy in obesity medicine or endocrinology post-residency, OR completion of an accredited Fellowship program in Endocrinology or Obesity Medicine in place of experience.

• An active and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state.

• Eligibility to acquire additional state licenses; IMLC is preferred but not mandatory.

• Currently enrolled with Medicare.

• Proficient in managing complex co-morbidities, including CKD, ESRD, and CAD/CV conditions.

• Expertise in advanced diabetes management, focusing on CGMs, insulin pumps, and complex insulin regimens.

• Experience working with APPs, medical residents, or trainees in a clinical academic environment.

• Commitment to evidence-based treatment, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for endocrine disorders and obesity.

• Availability for a W-2 position of 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.

• Preferred experience providing synchronous patient care in a telehealth setting.

• ABOM certification is highly preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is desirable but not essential.
