Employment Lawyer – International

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Provide daily legal assistance to the Human Resources teams for Howmet’s global operations outside the United States.

• Offer guidance to executives and HR personnel on employment law issues in Europe, with a focus on France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Hungary.

• Oversee external legal counsel on employment law matters across Europe, Japan, China, and Australia.

• Review and manage updates to internal policies and procedures in collaboration with HR teams.

• Ensure compliance with offer letters, employment contracts, and documentation related to employment termination.

• Supervise external counsel in litigation cases.

• Suggest practical, business-focused solutions to legal and operational challenges and facilitate their resolution.

• Keep HR teams updated on significant legislative changes in employment law throughout Europe and Asia.

• Support the initiatives of Howmet Aerospace Inc., a global leader in engineering and manufacturing complex metal components for the aerospace, defense, and commercial transportation sectors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree.

• Admission in good standing to the appropriate bar association.

• Over 8 years of professional experience acquired at an international law firm.

• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.

• Proficiency in French is a notable advantage.

• High standard of integrity and discretion.

• Strong abilities and confidence essential for the role.

• Risk-oriented mindset.

• Capability to convey legal concepts in an understandable manner.

• Proficient in effective communication with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels.

• Ability to establish sustainable processes and procedures across various jurisdictions.

• Experience working in an international setting and navigating diverse legal frameworks.
