This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer strategic guidance and counsel to the People team and business stakeholders regarding a wide array of U.S. employment matters.

• Supervise internal workplace investigations related to harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower allegations, and policy breaches.

• Investigate and address claims, demand letters, administrative grievances, audits, and other employment-related inquiries.

• Manage pre-litigation and litigation issues in collaboration with external counsel as necessary.

• Draft, review, and negotiate documents and templates pertaining to employment.

• Create, assess, and revise employment policies, standards, and HR guidelines.

• Assist with federal contractor compliance responsibilities, including evaluations for OFCCP compliance and preparation and maintenance of AAP under VEVRAA and Section 503.

• Provide advice on legal matters arising from the use of AI tools in recruitment and employment practices.

• Design and deliver training related to employment for the People team, employees, and managers.

• Keep abreast of developments in employment law and communicate changes and their business implications to stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of pertinent employment law experience, either in a law firm or within an in-house legal department.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.

• Strong understanding of U.S. federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, Title VII, and their state equivalents.

• Experience in conducting or overseeing workplace investigations.

• Knowledge of federal contractor compliance obligations, including OFCCP audits, AAP preparation, and VEVRAA and Section 503 requirements.
