This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with TAC Health, Employee Benefits Pool, and Unemployment Compensation Group Account Fund members on employee benefits programs.

• Oversee accounts for fully pooled, fully insured, and self-insured members within a designated territory.

• Create strategies to effectively deliver employee benefit programs.

• Promote Pool and Fund services to both current and prospective members.

• Stay informed about Pool coverages, healthcare contracts, financial reports, and relevant laws including COBRA, PPACA, HIPAA, and Medicare.

• Engage with current and prospective members to build relationships with governing bodies and key contacts.

• Provide necessary information for Requests for Proposals and Requests for Quotes.

• Conduct semi-annual and annual reviews of financial performance.

• Develop and present proposals and programs related to employee benefits.

• Monitor and assess legislation and trends in employee benefits, informing members of significant changes.

• Collaborate with Employee Benefits Specialists, Wellness Consultants, and TAC staff regarding member services and renewals.

• Maintain expertise in various employee benefits funding and delivery methods, including POS, HMO, EPO, pooling, and ASO plans.

• Keep up-to-date with product knowledge in life, dental, vision, and Medicare supplement plans.

• Participate in special projects and fulfill additional assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in Texas; preference for residence within the assigned territory.

• Strong understanding of marketing or administering employee health benefits programs is required.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in business, insurance, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• At least three years of experience in marketing or administering health, dental, and ancillary coverages, as well as life insurance, is preferred.

• A proven track record in health insurance marketing is preferred.

• Must obtain a State of Texas general lines life, accident, health, and HMO insurance license within 24 months of hire date.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

• Ability to connect with individuals from diverse cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.

• High level of professionalism is required.

• Proficient in personal computers and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent time management skills and meticulous record-keeping abilities.

• A valid Texas driver’s license and a clean driving record are required; must be able to drive.

• Willingness to travel extensively, including up to 80% overnight travel within Texas.
