This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee client life-cycle deliverables with guidance from the Benefit Consultant and Team Lead to enhance the retention of a portfolio of business.
• Engage in progressively complex client-related tasks.
• Participate in training and professional growth in strategic account planning, effective communication, and project management.
• Determine a specific area of focus or subject-matter expertise.
• Maintain up-to-date client files and internal systems following company protocols.
• Implement onboarding, ongoing support, and renewal service deliverables across all coverage lines and products.
• Assist in the development of client goals, objectives, and multi-year strategic plans.
• Establish annual service delivery calendars.
• Create client deliverables utilizing team expertise, tools, and established standards.
• Communicate and present findings, analyses, and recommendations during meetings, calls, and emails.
• Generate standard and ad hoc reports and manage client projects.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients and vendors.
• Review employee education and communication materials during key periods such as open enrollment.
• Research, address, and resolve client inquiries and service issues.
• Maintain BenefitPoint, Oracle, and client files in accordance with data standards.
• Manage client stakeholder contact information for satisfaction and thought leadership purposes.
• Develop and oversee internal account plans with the Team Lead and Producer.
• Liaise with carriers and vendors on behalf of clients and the team.
• Identify and utilize resources for upselling opportunities.
• Reconcile client revenue monthly between BenefitPoint and Finance Accrued Revenue.
• Innovate new and creative benefit solutions under guidance.
• 1–3 years of experience in working with a health and welfare carrier, broker, employee benefits administrator, or in an HR/benefits capacity.
• A state-specific resident Life & Health License is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and responsiveness.
• Capability to model financial implications arising from benefit programs.
• Comfortable negotiating with insurance carriers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
• Quick learner of new skills.
• Capable of working collaboratively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delegating when necessary.
• Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent in multitasking and remaining composed under pressure.
• Basic understanding of general business and financial concepts.
• Ability to create, organize, and manage a project plan effectively.
• Basic comprehension of strategy and long-term planning.
