This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze industry, commercial, and Department of Defense (DoD) innovation trends to pinpoint relevant emerging technologies.
• Perform structured evaluations of vendors, assess product capabilities, and conduct technology comparisons.
• Assist in rapid prototyping and early-stage pilot initiatives, documenting feasibility and suitability for mission objectives.
• Prepare comprehensive written technology briefs, market surveys, capability summaries, and analyses of innovation.
• Assess trends in artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), automation, data analytics, cloud tools, cybersecurity technologies, and digital experience platforms.
• Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment of technology assessments with program requirements.
• Create technology scoring models to aid in prioritization and selection processes.
• Monitor emerging standards, best practices, and guidance on government modernization.
• Engage in demonstrations, workshops, and vendor interactions to gather evaluation data.
• Assist in planning for the integration of technologies identified as suitable for mission application.
• Maintain a repository of research materials, evaluation templates, and reference documents on innovation.
• Collaborate closely with the Innovation Center of Excellence (COE), PMO, Operations & Engineering, cybersecurity, and application development teams.
• The candidate must have a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance (from any federal agency) or a valid Secret clearance or higher.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Design, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in technology research, analysis, or support for innovation is necessary.
• Experience in conducting market research, technology evaluations, or vendor/platform analysis is essential.
• Proven experience in supporting pilots, prototypes, or early-stage technology testing is required.
• Background in federal, DoD, or enterprise IT environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with innovation trends in AI/ML, automation, analytics, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity is expected.
• Understanding of technology assessment frameworks and evaluation techniques is necessary.
• Experience in analyzing product capabilities, architectures, and integration needs is required.
• Strong analytical and research skills are essential.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to succinctly summarize findings are required.
• Ability to translate market trends into actionable insights is essential.
• Strong skills in presentation and stakeholder engagement are necessary.
• Capability to assess complex technologies and articulate key differentiators clearly is required.
