Embedded Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain Baseband L3 software utilizing C/C++.

• Execute software functionalities in accordance with technical specifications and system requirements.

• Operate within Linux/Embedded Linux environments.

• Create and troubleshoot software that entails multi-threading, concurrency, and real-time processing.

• Engage with communication interfaces and protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, or similar technologies.

• Resolve software issues utilizing logs, traces, GDB, and additional development tools.

• Take part in code reviews, testing, integration, and software troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with engineers specializing in L1, L2, L3, platform, hardware, and testing.

• Acquire and implement knowledge of 4G/5G Baseband concepts, Layer 3 protocols, and 3GPP specifications.

• Continuously enhance code quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.

• Location: Hanoi, Hochiminh - Vietnam.

• Strong programming skills in C/C++.

• Comprehension of data structures, algorithms, pointers, memory management, and object-oriented programming principles.

• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix environments.

• Fundamental knowledge of computer systems, operating systems, or embedded systems.

• Basic understanding of networking or communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, etc.

• Capability to interpret technical documentation and address programming issues.

• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

• Eagerness to learn about telecommunication and Baseband technologies.

• Nice to have: Experience with 4G/5G, LTE, NR, RAN, or Baseband development.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Layer 3 protocols such as RRC or NAS.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of 3GPP specifications.

• Nice to have: Experience in Embedded Linux or firmware development.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of RTOS such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or VxWorks.

• Nice to have: Experience in developing multi-threaded or real-time applications.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with ARM/SoC/DSP platforms.

• Nice to have: Proficiency in debugging tools such as GDB, Valgrind, AddressSanitizer, or Wireshark.

• Nice to have: Experience with Git/Gerrit, CMake, Make, or CI/CD practices.
