Embedded Linux Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create, write, and enhance embedded software for hardware platforms, focusing on reliability and high performance.

• Work in conjunction with hardware and software engineering teams to integrate, test, and validate system components.

• Detect and resolve intricate system issues and bugs utilizing hardware and software diagnostic tools.

• Perform code reviews to uphold high-quality standards.

• Guide junior engineers on best practices.

• Embrace modern tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve engineering processes.

• Ensure technical documentation is precise and current.

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded systems based on Linux.

• Enhance system performance.

• Offer technical direction to guarantee project success in complex environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in embedded software development.

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related disciplines.

• Practical experience in writing clean, optimized C/C++ code for embedded platforms.

• Hands-on experience with embedded Linux platforms and kernel module development.

• Strong understanding of embedded peripherals, sensors, and common communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).

• Expertise with JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and troubleshooting tools for performance optimization.

• Proficient in Git workflow for version control and collaborative development.

• At least an Intermediate level in both written and spoken English (B1).

• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal microcontroller development.

• Knowledge of Python or Bash for testing and workflow automation.

• Understanding of IoT architectures and connecting embedded devices to cloud platforms.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks and optimizing battery/power consumption.
