This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver designated course content in a virtual setting
• Offer engaging and interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities
• Provide instruction, support, and direction while overseeing the learning process
• Tailor learning experiences for all students and adapt instruction based on their mastery levels
• Enhance course content utilizing suitable asynchronous and synchronous tools under the guidance of the principal and coach
• Track student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system
• Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion
• Notify administrators of any concerns related to student performance and progress
• Prepare students for critical standardized assessments
• Build and sustain positive relationships with families
• Communicate promptly with students and learning coaches/parents
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and fundamental virtual-classroom troubleshooting
• Travel for professional development, student assessments, and other school obligations
• Elementary teaching certification for Grades K-6
• If the current teaching certification is from another state, obtain reciprocity in Indiana within 60 days of employment
• Residency in Indiana is mandatory
• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license
• Ability to pass the required background check
• Capability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week
• Ability to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during working hours
• Willingness to work school-defined hours, usually from 9-5 or 8-4
• Capability to travel as necessary, averaging once per month and/or around 20% of the time
• Experience working with the specified age group
• Experience in assisting both adults and children with technology usage
• Experience in teaching within an online or traditional classroom setting
• Familiarity with online learning platforms
• Proficient in interpreting and producing numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
• Capability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
