Elementary Teacher, 6th Grade

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Regularly consult with learning coaches and students to guarantee the successful completion of instructional programs.

• Support the instructional program through asynchronous web conferencing and live instruction.

• Complete grading tasks and conduct parent conferences.

• Communicate with parents, students, and teachers to create and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules.

• Provide constructive feedback on student work and recommend instructional methods and strategies.

• Monitor assignment completion and guide special projects.

• Maintain familiarity with the K-12 curriculum and possess detailed knowledge of assigned grade levels.

• Offer alternative strategies and extra support with assignments and projects.

• Keep current student records, attendance logs, and contact information for students and parents.

• Collaborate with team members and staff learning specialists on enrichment activities and program adjustments.

• Establish and nurture a virtual school community.

• Proctor benchmark and diagnostic assessments.

• Participate in State Testing as directed.

• Attend field trips and community events.

• Execute other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach grade 6 in Kansas.

• Candidates with a current teaching license from another state will be considered, provided they can transfer or acquire a Kansas teaching license upon employment.

• Possess strong technology skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Highly organized and punctual in all responsibilities.

• Maintain a student- and family-centered approach.

• Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• History of being a collaborative team player.

• Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, parents, staff, and diverse community members.

• Capability to work remotely while occasionally traveling for in-person meetings and assessments.

• Must be able to utilize a personal electronic device and an email account for two-step authentication.
