
Elementary School Teacher – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Deliver designated elementary course material in a virtual setting
• Provide engaging and dynamic synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
• Tailor learning for each student and differentiate instruction according to their mastery level
• Enhance course material using sanctioned asynchronous and synchronous tools, guided by the principal and coach
• Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion
• Notify administrators concerning any issues related to student performance and progress
• Prepare students for significant standardized assessments
• Build and sustain a positive relationship with families
• Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents promptly
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curriculum, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting matters
• Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system
• Collaborate closely with students and parents/learning coaches to further learning towards set goals
• Occasionally travel for school events, including state testing and as required
• State Department of Education Elementary School Teaching Certification is mandatory
• Bachelor's degree is required
• Active state teaching license
• Ability to pass necessary background checks
• Capability to work independently
• Ability to maintain a distraction-free professional home office
• Availability for instructional hours between 9–5 EST (or 8–4)
• Ability to collaborate with other educators to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data for instructional decisions
• Open to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers
• Willingness to adapt and embrace changes to ensure excellent student outcomes
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to modern technologies and teaching platforms
• Capability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
• Must reside in one of the 50 states or Washington, D.C.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for in-person professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school
