This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +3 more states.
• Deliver targeted course content in a virtual setting
• Facilitate engaging and interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
• Customize learning paths to suit the needs of all students
• Modify instruction based on students' mastery levels
• Enhance course material using authorized synchronous and asynchronous tools
• Manage the grade book and uphold student academic integrity
• Make decisions regarding student placement and advancement
• Notify administrators of concerns related to student performance and progress
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments
• Build and sustain positive relationships with families
• Communicate with and respond to students and parents/learning coaches promptly
• Assist parents/learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting
• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system
• Travel approximately 20% of the time for professional development, student assessments, and school events
• Collaborate with school administrators, teacher trainers, students, parents, and learning coaches
• Texas Elementary Teaching Certification is mandatory
• Bachelor's degree required
• Active state teaching license
• Ability to pass the necessary background check
• Capacity to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week
• Capability to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during work hours
• Willingness to work standard hours of 9-5 or 8-4, or as specified by the school
• Experience with the designated age group
• Experience in assisting both adults and children with technology
• Background in teaching in online and/or traditional classroom settings
• Familiarity with online learning platforms
• Proficient in interpreting and generating numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data to inform instructional decisions
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
• Commitment to maintaining teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
