This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.
• Deliver engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
• Tailor learning approaches to meet the needs of all students.
• Differentiate instruction according to each student's mastery level.
• Enhance course material using suitable asynchronous and synchronous tools under the direction of the principal and coach.
• Manage the grade book and uphold student academic integrity.
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.
• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families.
• Communicate proactively and respond promptly to students and learning coaches/parents.
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curriculum and instructional queries as well as basic virtual classroom troubleshooting.
• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Travel for in-person professional development, student assessments, and other school-related obligations.
• Valid state Department of Education Elementary School Teaching Certification is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active state teaching license is necessary.
• Ability to pass the required background check.
• Must be a resident of one of the 50 states or Washington, D.C.
• Capacity to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Ability to maintain a distraction-free professional home office during work hours.
• Willingness to travel as needed, averaging once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time.
• Experience with the relevant age group is essential.
• Proven experience in assisting adults and children with technology.
• Background in teaching in either an online or traditional classroom setting.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms is required.
• Ability to analyze and present numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Quick adaptability to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Commitment to maintaining teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
