
Elementary Reading Interventionist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Modify and/or adapt the K12 curriculum to align with Michigan's content standards, catering to each student's individual needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers through personalized and small-group sessions to achieve specific student goals.
• Educate parents on effective instructional strategies.
• Implement the RTI instructional framework to enhance student achievement.
• Supervise data collection and progress monitoring across all tiers.
• Utilize data to assist teachers in planning both whole- and small-group instruction.
• Guide teachers in identifying and organizing students who require additional support.
• Collect and maintain RTI data, including lists of eligible students and intervention plans.
• Act as a daily RTI resource for school administrators, leadership teams, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and track Tier 2 interventions with teachers, advisors, counselors, and district personnel.
• Provide continuous RTI training and support to school and district staff.
• Assist teachers in documenting student progress.
• Collaborate with the special education team to facilitate eligibility for special education services.
• Travel up to 20% for in-person professional development, student assessments, and as required by the school.
• A Michigan Elementary Teaching Certification is required.
• Must reside in Michigan.
• Bachelor's degree is necessary.
• An active state teaching license is required.
• Capability to pass the required background check.
• Ability to work independently, generally 40+ hours per week.
• Must maintain a professional home office that is distraction-free during work hours.
• Proficient in interpreting and producing numerical, tabular, and graphical representations of student data to inform instructional decisions.
• Open to receiving regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Ability to adapt to change and ensure outstanding student outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Quick learner with the capacity to adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Must maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
