Elementary Math Tutor, English, Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +38 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer virtual math tutoring to K–8 students throughout the United States

• Implement provided, pre-designed best-practice math lessons along with practice extension materials

• Deliver focused support for students working on skills and topics at or below grade level

• Manage student behavior and engagement in an online classroom setting

• Allocate practice time and assist students with constructive feedback

• Foster encouraging and motivational learning environments

• Conduct regular, consistent weekly sessions with students

• Attend at least 80% of the scheduled sessions

• Engage in the application and onboarding process

• Complete a potential five-minute recorded introduction and tutoring demonstration

• Establish a payment account and undergo an in-person fingerprint-based FBI background check

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a classroom teacher, in EL/ESL/ELL, tutoring, coaching, or similar student support roles

• Experience in online instruction

• College degree is preferred

• Capability to deliver pre-designed math lessons and targeted support for students at or below grade level

• Ability to establish meaningful professional relationships with students

• Skill in creating an encouraging and motivating learning atmosphere using supportive corrections

• Computer (laptop or desktop) equipped with a webcam

• A clean, distraction-free environment

• Reliable high-speed internet with a minimum connection speed of 20 Mbps

• Must reside in and provide tutoring from one of the eligible U.S. states or Washington, DC

• All sessions must be held from within the 50 United States or Washington, DC

• Availability that typically includes at least one hour Monday through Thursday between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM ET
