Electrical Engineering Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and update electrical design deliverables, such as single-line diagrams, schematics, panel schedules, lighting layouts, cable tray designs, grounding systems, and other related drawings.

• Work collaboratively with Electrical Engineers and multidisciplinary project teams to assist in Front-End Loading (FEL) design activities.

• Evaluate contractor-generated drawings, offer technical feedback, and ensure that designs comply with Chemours standards and are feasible for construction.

• Engage in design reviews.

• Keep project documentation well organized.

• Occasionally visit sites to confirm existing conditions.

• Aid electrical engineers in preparing Front-End Loading (FEL) deliverables for projects related to industrial and chemical plants.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate degree in Drafting & Design, CAD, Engineering Technology, or a similar field, along with 3–5 years of industrial electrical design experience, or over 10 years of relevant industrial drafting/design experience.

• Expertise in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.

• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code).

• Exceptional attention to detail and the capability to produce precise, high-quality design documentation.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers and project teams.

• Capacity to adhere to Chemours' engineering processes, quality standards, and safety protocols.

• Preferred: experience in industrial process facilities, with knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, and system diagrams.

• Preferred: background in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) design.

• Preferred: proficiency with E3D, Autodesk Inventor, SKM PowerTools, Autodesk DOCS, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.

• Preferred: knowledge of intelligent (database-driven) CAD/design systems.

• Ability to perform all responsibilities with or without accommodation.
