This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Design electrical systems and carry out design calculations.

• Review, sign, and seal project documents.

• Evaluate submittals, RFIs, and change orders.

• Create record drawings.

• Conduct site inspections and visits.

• Engage in commissioning activities.

• Draft and revise specifications for electrical equipment.

• Choose equipment, electrical systems, and devices.

• Ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and within budget.

• Collaborate with Meade staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.

• Travel to job sites for observations and client meetings as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction sector.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Electrical P.E. license or Engineering in Training certification is preferred.

• Experience in designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects.

• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and mentor junior staff.

• Strong knowledge of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.

• Advanced understanding of equipment power requirements, including large-scale standby and emergency power systems as well as interactive generator control systems.

• Experience in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred.

• Familiarity with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.

• Strategic thinker with the flexibility to achieve long-term objectives.

• Self-motivated and able to navigate ambiguity.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, BIM, and Revit.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of background checks, drug testing, and other relevant pre-employment requirements may be necessary.
